  1. Q3 How Homer knew that Kate and Frank Nibbly were up to no good because he claims that he knows they are lying because in the story he knows when a lier is ling. The lie changes for Mr. Willow, because Mr. Willow was getting tricked by the Nibbly to think they are nice people when they are the opposite. The lie changes for Homer because the Nibblys take the money and leave so Homer can't get to his brother and so the Nibblys will be wealthy.

    1. I think you did a great job like when you said that the lie changes for Homer because the Nibbles take the money and leave. What do you think the Nibbles real job is? Why do they need to steal?

  2. Yes, Fletcher, I agree becasue I think you are saying that since Homer has been known to tell lies himself, he is more able to spot someone else telling a lie. A person like Mr. Willow is more trusting and less likely to suspect the Nibbleys are tricking him. What do you think happened to Mr. Willow after Homer blacked out and wound up in the pig cage?

  3. Homer figured out that the Nibbley’s were up to no good, but Mr. Willow was not because Mr. Willow likes Kate. Mr. Willow didn’t see any of the clues because he was too busy trying to get Kate to like him. Homer was able to see through them because he was not interested in any but finding his brother. He could see that they were being fake. For example, Homer found it weird that they are on the same ship, going to the exact same place. Mr. Willow didn’t think it’s weird because he was excited to spend more time with Kate. This trick changes things for Mr. Willow and Homer because Homer doesn’t trust Mr. Willow anymore. Homer sees that Mr. Willow falls for tricks very easily.

    1. A very insightful answer Daniel, and you do a great job of supporting your answer. Homer is having some crazy adventures, isn't he? How many other people do you think the Nibbleys have tricked before?

    2. I think Homer know the Nibblys are up to some double trouble but Mr.Willow dose not see that because Kate is being nice and sweet to them. But homer can tell that there lying to them because there acting nicer than a normal nice person would be like so that makes him wonder and think that there up to something

    3. I think your right they were up to no good they were lying to Homer and Mr.Willow so that's one reason why there up to know good and another reason is that there being way to nice to not make them wonder what there up to so that's another reason why there up to trouble

  4. Homer was able to figure out that the Nibbleys were up to no good because he didn't see Frank and Kate getting on the boat. Mr. Willow was in love with Kate and that is why he couldn't see that the Nibbleys were up to no good. Homer and Mr. Willow's plans change when Mr. Willow had plans to marry Kate. Mr. Willow and Kate did not want Homer around them.

  5. I think I think that Homer figured it out because Mr. willow likes the nibley girl and homer is wanting to get on the ship and save his brother. So ‎‎Homer
is trying to get Mr. Willow on the ship and while he is doing that, Homer finds out that the nibbley’s are tricking Mr. willow.‎that’s how Homer finds out and Mr.Willow doesn't. it impact’s them because if they don’t get there in time then Harold might be dead if they don’t make it in time, because Harold could already be in the war by now.
